Most of us are a part of Employees Provident Fund Organization and you might be aware of the fact that linking Aadhaar card to the Universal Account Number is now mandatory. Without linking the Aadhaar number to UAN, the user can’t avail many services which include the transfer of Provident Fund and the withdrawal of Provident Fund.
Earlier, it was only possible to Link Aadhaar Card to the UAN with help of the EPF Portal and the process was quite long. The EPFO made the process easy by adding this facility to their digital application.
Linking Aadhaar Card with UAN through Mobile Application
You read it right; it is now possible to link the Aadhaar Number to UAN with help of the mobile application. The name of the mobile application used here is Umang App. It is now also possible to link the Aadhaar Number with help of the biometric credentials and this has made the system more secure.
So to link the Aadhaar Card to the UAN, all you have to do is that you have to install the Umang Application of government. This application would not only help you in availing PF services but it will also help you in availing many other services.
- Once you install the Umang Application, you can click on the EPFO link on the application.
- A list of options will be displayed and from those options, click on the eKYC Services Option.
- In the next step, you need to click on Aadhaar Seeding and you can now complete the procedure by entering the UAN Number along with the Aadhaar Number. It should be noted that you will receive two OTP on your mobile. One to verify your Aadhaar Number and the other one to verify your UAN Number.
